Georgia Department of Public Safety    The Office of Public Safety Support (OPSS) was established 
to mitigate the potential psychological impact that critical incidents or traumatic events can have 
on the members of the Georgia Public Safety community. Using Peer Counselors and Mental Health Professionals, OPSS will strive to provide the necessary support that officers and first responders need to help alleviate the reactions to critical or traumatic events. OPSS provides effective care for our men and women in public safety.

Institute for Responder Wellness    The Institute for Responder Wellness is a resource that provides mental and physical health solutions to first responders, their families, retirees, and providers. We offer training and education to first responders nationwide. We have created and partnered with health programs that provide more in-depth assessments of mental and physical well-being for first responders that will enable them to perform their duties to the best of their ability on the job and at home.
